Legal framework governing your use of the Hostel Ease platform in compliance with Indian Information Technology laws.

Welcome to Hostel Ease. These terms represent a binding contract between you and Hostel Ease. By using our platform, you agree to these conditions.

1. Introduction

Hostel Ease is a brand operated by Unyrise Tech, a sole proprietorship headquartered at Flat No 4, Mehta Residency, Sindoor, Hazaribag, Jharkhand - 825301. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the access and use of the Hostel Ease platform by hostel owners and administrators ("you"). Our platform operates on a commission-based model for rent collections and an optional subscription model for premium features. By registering and using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and all applicable Indian laws.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this platform. By using Hostel Ease, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this agreement under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

3. Prohibited User Conduct

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, users are prohibited from hosting, displaying, or uploading any content that:

  • • Is defamatory, obscene, or invasively private
  • • Infringes any patent, trademark, or copyright
  • • Deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of messages
  • • Impersonates another person
  • • Contains software viruses or any other computer code designed to interrupt functionality
  • • Threatens the unity, integrity, or security of India
  • • Is otherwise patently false and untrue

4. Services Offered

Hostel Ease provides a web-based platform for hostel owners and administrators to manage their operations. The following features are available on the platform:

Room listing and availability management
Resident booking and profile management
Online rent collection via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking)
Payment history and transaction tracking
Complaint submission and resolution tracking
Admin occupancy dashboard
Booking approval workflow
Email notifications for key events
Multi-hostel management (Growth plan)

5. Payments & Subscriptions

Hostel Ease offers three subscription tiers. The Starter plan is free and covers 1 hostel and up to 10 rooms with a 10% commission on rent collected online. The Growth plan is billed at Rs. 1,499/month via Razorpay Subscriptions (auto-pay) and covers up to 3 hostels and 50 rooms with an 8% commission. The Enterprise plan is available at custom pricing with unlimited hostels, rooms, and a 6% commission rate - contact us directly for this tier.

Recurring payment authorization: Review the amount and renewal terms in checkout before authorizing Growth. Activation requires a successful applicable payment and an active paid period. There is no guaranteed refundable fixed mandate charge.

Non-Refundable Billing Cycle: Monthly subscription fees (Rs. 1,499) are charged at the start of each billing cycle and are non-refundable for that cycle. If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the current billing period - there is no immediate cutoff. Eligible additional room capacity is scheduled for a future recurring charge and activates after the matching successful payment, rather than immediately when requested.

All payments are processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. For detailed refund terms, please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. GST as applicable under Indian tax laws will be added to subscription fees.

6. Dispute Resolution (Arbitration)

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

7. Limitation of Liability

Intermediary Status: Hostel Ease acts as an intermediary under Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000. We are not liable for:

  • • Disputes between owners and residents
  • • Accuracy of user-submitted content
  • • Third-party gateway delays (RBI guidelines followed)

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause, the courts at Hazaribagh, Jharkhand shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
